“I had no idea!”: What being human will look like in the next 100 years

A WellcomeMD and VCUarts event in collaboration with Encorepreneur

6-8 p.m. Tuesday, October 8

Art and science both share a vital role in shaping the future of human experience. They weave together and intersect at various points, including in technology, engineering and even physics. But what about medicine and the way we treat disease?

Please join WellcomeMD physician Dr. Neal Carl and VCUarts professor Shawn Brixey for an interactive discussion on how art and medicine combine to create innovation and advancement in healthcare. Find out how you can think about time, space and continuum of the universe in a new and exciting way.

This free event will take place from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8 at VCU’s Cabell Library Lecture Hall. Complimentary beer, wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served at 6 on the rooftop terrace accompanied by music from the VCU Jazz Studies trio. The presentation will begin at 6:45. Free valet parking will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
