UP TO DATE TRIP FACTSABOUT SOLAR ECLIPSES
We’re chartering 2 executive buses and heading south with 65-70 of our friends to see what, for most people, is the view of a lifetime. Thanks to the generosity of four of our members (see below), we will have bagels and coffee, lunch, beverages, eclipse glasses for everyone, AND a video to remember the event. We'll be accessing Netflix for some movies on the way down and back (think "Bucket List"), and may have some interactive fun as well.
We plan to leave around 6:30am on Monday, August 21st, head south to Sumter, South Carolina, one of the towns along the Path of Totality, in time to enjoy some of the local community events. Around 2:30 pm it will start to get much darker and we will see the total eclipse about 2:41. Soon after, we will pack up and head back to Richmond.
It's a long drive, but it will be as comfortable as possible. The buses are not like the ones you may remember. They have leather seats, adjustable head rests, seat belts, WiFi, charging stations, and 6 TV's.
Cost of the trip is $200 per adult. High school age and younger kids accompanied by an adult will be $125. Supporting Encorepreneurs will receive a $25 discount. If you are not already a Supporting Encorepreneur, you can join and receive the discount.
Special thanks to Networking Technologies + Support, Lindl Corp. Haley Buick GMC and Richmond Corporate Video who each volunteered support for this trip.
