Robin is a speaker and humor writer who has been called "the country Seinfeld" by mystery writer Rita Mae Brown. She is also an expert on the horse racing and pari-mutuel betting industries, having served six years as chairman of the Virginia Racing Commission.

Speaking just two weeks after one of the most interesting Kentucky Derbys in history, and just months ahead of the reopening of Colonial Downs, Robin will provide insight into the racing industry in Virginia, the setting of her recently-released award-winning novel, “The Key to the Quarter Pole”. She will also share some stories from her humor books including "Chivalry, Thy Name Is Bubba" and "Bush Hogs and Other Swine".
